Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience preparing business income tax returns (Forms 1120-S/1120/1065).
• 3+ years preparing Form 1040 individual returns.
• Knowledge of federal business/individual tax concepts.
• Experience with financial statements or bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with payroll and sales tax reporting.
• Ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain tax and accounting matters clearly to clients.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for businesses and individuals.
• Prepare financial statements for SMB clients and perform bookkeeping.
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports and related forms.
• Prepare sales tax reports and assist with filings.
• Review bank statements and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax matters and deadlines.
• Maintain organized workpapers and document tax positions.
• Follow confidentiality procedures and compliance standards.
• Meet tax, payroll, accounting, and reporting deadlines.
