Job summary

Christianson, PLLP is seeking a Tax Accountant to prepare individual and business tax returns, review financial statements, and research tax regulations. The role emphasizes client relation building and mentoring teammates in a remote-friendly environment.

We welcome remote candidates across the U.S., with preference for those in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin due to occasional in-person collaborations. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or EA preferred, or actively seeking credential.
• 1+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, technical writing, and research skills.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns with accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in compiling and reviewing financial statements.
• Research and interpret tax regulations to support planning and compliance.
• Collaborate with senior staff to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Develop client relationships and support business development activities.
