Qualifications

• A career break of at least 2 years.
• Intent to return to a full-time role at TI after the program.
• No sponsorship required now or in the future (U.S. work-authorization required).
• Meet the minimum role-specific requirements for the job

Responsibilities

• Assist with complex federal and state income tax return preparation.
• Participate in tax compliance activities, such as tax calculations for fixed assets, stock compensation, and R&D credits, and managing inputs and consolidated return tie-outs in the tax compliance software.
• Assist with the federal and state quarterly estimated payment, extension and provision processes
• Research tax technical issues and communicate the implications for TI tax compliance in a clear and concise manner
• Participate in various tax planning activities and assist with special projects
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that streamline and influence TI-level processes within the tax function
• Support efforts to defend US tax filings upon audit by the IRS
