Flowers Visitor Center Host

Flowers Hospitality Team: part of an extraordinary estate and brand with competitive hourly rates, commission structure and employee perks. Part-Time roles available.

To provide an exceptional guest experience, delivering our story, sharing the journey and taste of the wine. To support the business operations and goals.

Responsibilities
  • Choreograph a memorable, quality guest experience that supports desired brand message.
  • Utilize strategic selling skills to encourage sales and wine club membership sign ups.
  • Acquire and share wine knowledge effectively and accurately to guests.
  • Create and maintain a customer-oriented environment focused on building customer relationships and loyalty.
  • Act as a wine ambassador on and off premise.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills with clear and consistent communication, verbally and in writing; comfortable addressing varying group sizes.
  • Be well versed and passionate about wine; pursue knowledge of wine industry, production, and biodynamic/organic farming to build rapport with customers and members.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and stay productive during slower periods; prioritize and multi-task varying customer needs.
  • Support hospitality at events and be flexible with weekend and holiday scheduling.
  • Complete other assignments and special projects as assigned.
  • Use wine knowledge and service orientation to build rapport with customers and club members.
  • Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and enthusiasm; be self-motivated, organized and efficient in a fast-paced, small team environment.
  • Demonstrate passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook; deliver excellent customer service and adapt to new systems.
  • Be goal-oriented and sales-driven with strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Build strong relationships with co‑workers; maintain excellent organizational skills and follow-through on projects.
  • Show reliability with acute attention to detail and strong troubleshooting abilities; provide scalable solutions for customer and employee issues.
  • Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
  • Two to five years of hospitality experience with a background in customer service, wine education, wine sales, hotel/concierge work, and/or wine clubs/loyalty programs.
  • Shift scheduling: work weekends, events (including evenings), and some holidays.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes (40-50 lbs.).
  • Position includes extensive sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Proficiency in Point of Sales (POS) systems and basic computer skills preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct; fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
Physical requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and occasionally 100 pounds.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and periodic overtime.
  • Stand for long periods; walk on flat and sloped terrain; walk 2 miles or more in unstable, uneven or wet conditions.
  • Sit, bend, stoop, twist and walk over uneven surfaces for prolonged periods.
