Pur Noire is a premium wine brand based in Houston, Texas. We make all of our wines in Napa, Lodi, and Clarksburg. We built downtown Houston’s first urban winery and tasting room. Our tasting room is located in the Central Business District and has quickly become a staple for local Houstonians and visitors. We have been featured by several publications and media companies including Good Morning America, Yahoo, Travel Noire, Houstonia Mag, Houston Eater, the Root, and more.

Position: Event Coordinator

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for running Pur Noire's on-premise and off-premise event programs. This person's primary function will be to drive revenue by assisting customer leads with event bookings at Pur Noire and coordinating events to ensure the best guest experience. This person will also identify off-premise vending opportunities such as wine festivals and other events where they, along with an associate, can sample and sell wine to guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Contact all event leads within 8 hours to answer questions and present event options.
2. Follow up with all previous event leads to increase sales and confirm event booking.
3. Generate new event leads by contacting wine club members with upcoming birthdays and proposing a birthday celebration.
4. Generate new event leads by contacting nearby companies and proposing team building and/or holiday events.
5. Organize, coordinate, and facilitate each customer's event to ensure the best possible event experience.
6. Identify off-premise event opportunities and work with the General Manager to coordinate the attendance and working of the events.
7. Work with the General Manager to organize, promote, and facilitate Pur Noire's regular weekly events.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Compensation is a combination of base pay plus commission for bottle sales, wine club signups, event sales, and tips. Tips are not pooled.

Pay: $13.00 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

1. 8-10 hour shifts
2. Day shifts
3. Evening shifts
4. Weekend shifts

Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

1. Event coordinating: 1 year (Required)
2. Event sales: 1 year (Required)
3. Winery or tasting room: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification: WSET, CMS, OR CSW (Preferred)
