Job summary

Bottaia Winery in Temecula Wine Country is seeking a friendly Tasting Room Barback to support servers and enhance guest experiences. You will set up tasting counters, stock stations, and keep the tasting area clean and well-organized.

Must be 21+ with the ability to lift 40-50 lbs and stand for long periods. Weekend and holiday availability is required; wine experience is a plus but not mandatory. Competitive hourly pay with tips, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up tasting counter and ensure servers have tools to exceed guest expectations.
• Welcome guests with a friendly, courteous manner and respond to requests quickly.
• Prepare tasting experiences, including setting up and cleaning rooms.
• Stock wine at tasting room cashier station and prep server stations.
• Pour and present wine, glasses, collateral, and towels to guests.
• Collect and wash glasses; assist guests to their cars when needed.
• Adhere to Bottaia environmental standards and service values.

We are a premier hospitality company with a 30,000 case DTC operation in the Temecula Wine Country. We are farming over 200-acres with 22 French and Italian varietals under the Bottaia and Ponte Winery labels. Visit bottaiawinery.com and pontewinery.com to get to know us a little better.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate individual to be a part of our team at our Bottaia Winery. We are located on the Ponte Family Estate Ranch which is just east of the Ponte Winery Tasting Room. The Bottaia Tasting Room and Pool Club bring a unique experience to Temecula Wine Country, including new wines, a semi-Olympic size pool, a splash pad for the kids, and 30 cabines (traditional Italian beach changing rooms), and a poolside bar and café.

Summary:

The Tasting Room Barback will set up the tasting counter for the servers ensuring the servers have all the necessary tools to exceed the guests' expectations.

Compensation:

$16.90 hourly +Tips

Schedule:

• Wednesday- Sunday, at minimum business needs.
• Weekends are a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
• Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Prepares all tasting experiences including setting up, stocking and cleaning all rooms
• Ensure wine is stocked in tasting room cashier station.
• Open wine bottles and prep server stations with wine, glasses, collateral and towels to ensure guests' expectations are exceeded.
• Collect and wash glasses as needed.
• Carry wine and merchandise to guest's car as needed.
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.
• Understands the Bottaia values and service standards and adheres to them.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be 21 and over.
