Stanley Black & Decker in Shelby, OH is seeking a Task Planner for the 1st shift to work onsite. You will review and distribute production work, coordinate material flow, and monitor schedules to meet shipment deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Distributes production work and orders to meet shipment schedules; coordinates with supervisors to track progress.
• Expedites material flow between sections/departments to keep production moving.
• Monitors workload across operation areas and adjusts priorities accordingly.
• Collaborates with departments to ensure efficient materials flow.
• Communicates with employees, supervisors, shipping, and planning as needed.
• Uses the warehouse management system to release tasks supporting daily schedules.
• Analyzes status of released work and ensures on-time completion.
• Provides root cause analysis and problem-solving support for resource planning and order status.
• Runs reports to monitor open customer orders for on-time delivery.
• Keeps daily 6S activities—housekeeping and safe, organized work areas.

The Job

• Reviews and distributes production work and order processing work to meet shipment schedules; confers with department supervisors and group leaders to determine progress of work
• Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments
• Monitors workload for all areas of the operation
• Collaborates with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials
• Communicates with employees, supervisors, shipping, or planning
• Uses warehouse management system to release tasks to support the daily schedules
• Constantly analyzes the status and priorities of released work to ensure on time completion
• Provides problem solving assistance and root cause analysis to all levels of the organization related to resource planning and order status.
• Runs reports to monitor open customer orders to ensure on time completion
• Responsible for daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets.
• Must be able to work 4am-2:30pm or 6am-2pm and must be flexible
• Other duties as assigned

The Salary range for this position is $38,300.00 - $61,600.00
