Job summary

Colony Hotel Maine seeks an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team on-site at a busy hotel property. This hands-on leadership role requires managing employees, maintaining hotel standards, and owning the day-to-day performance of the team.

You will be the primary onsite leader for our housekeeping staff, ensuring attendance, productivity, and professional conduct while coordinating with hotel leadership to meet daily housekeeping needs.

Seasonal Housekeeping Supervisor - Colony Hotel Maine

We're hiring an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team at a busy hotel property. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can manage employees, maintain hotel standards, and take ownership of the team's day-to-day performance.

The Housekeeping Supervisor will serve as the onsite leader for our employees and will be responsible for ensuring the team is present, productive, professional, and meeting the expectations of the hotel.

What You'll Do

• Provide daily supervision and direction to housekeeping employees
• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for our team
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and daily performance
• Ensure employees report to the correct areas and are ready to work
• Assign rooms and daily responsibilities
• Inspect guest rooms and ensure hotel cleanliness standards are met
• Track room productivity and ensure assignments are completed on time
• Coach employees and address performance or attendance concerns
• Help train and onboard new team members at the property
• Communicate call-offs, attendance issues, employee concerns, and staffing needs to management
• Maintain accurate information on who is working each dayReinforce uniform, appearance, conduct, and hotel policies
• Address employee questions and concerns while onsite
• Coordinate with hotel leadership regarding daily housekeeping needs
• Step in and assist the housekeeping team when necessary

What We're Looking For

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
• Housekeeping Supervisor, Inspector, Lead, or similar leadership experience strongly preferred
• Experience supervising and holding employees accountable
• Confident addressing attendance and performance issues
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organized and comfortable managing multiple employees at once
• Able to communicate professionally with both employees and hotel management
• Comfortable working independently and making day-to-day decisions
• Dependable with a strong attendance record
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed

This Role Requires Ownership

This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our onsite employees. We need someone who takes initiative, communicates issues quickly, holds the team accountable, and makes sure the hotel has the staffing and support it needs each day.
