Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is hiring security officers to protect client sites, monitor access, and conduct patrols in accordance with post orders. The role includes documenting visitor data, responding to alarms, and maintaining PPE protocols.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and possess a State Security Officer License, with a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• State Security Officer License is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• Technical training or college education in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a security officer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stand guard at security officer post, directing visitors, issuing access badges, and providing escorts as necessary.
• Carrying a taser may be required.
• Log visitor data and other basic reports in the security computer system.
• Conduct foot patrols in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies as directed in post orders.
• Look for and report potential safety hazards.
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE and follow PPE policies.
• Follow client site-specific duties outlined in post-orders.
• Work additional hours when necessary – fill open shifts, as needed.
• Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance by acting lawfully, ethically, honestly and professionally.
• Assume responsibility for understanding and complying with attendance expectations.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with Per Mar Security Services customers and coworkers.

In This Role, You Will

• Stand guard at security officer post, directing visitors, issuing access badges, and providing escorts as necessary.
