Job summary

Citrin Cooperman, a leading accounting and consulting firm, seeks a Transaction Advisory Services Director in New York to deliver top-tier due diligence for PE clients and corporate acquirers. You will plan, manage, and mentor teams while serving as primary client liaison throughout engagements.

The role emphasizes strong GAAP knowledge, executive communication, and business development to advance the firm's advisory practice and client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of audit, accounting, and financial due diligence experience.
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence on behalf of private equity clients and corporate acquirers/sellers.
• Plan, manage, and lead multiple due diligence engagements and service teams.
• Act as primary client contact for the duration of the due diligence process.
• Conduct on-site and/or phone interviews with C-level personnel at acquisition targets.
• Analyze historical financial and operating results of target companies, explain business trends, and identify risks.
• Prepare due diligence reports and presentations to clients which compile analyses and highlight key findings and recommendations.
• Train, develop, and mentor lower-level staff.
• Apply TAS Best Practices to ensure consistent quality of service and work product and actively participate in the development of the group's Best Practices.
• Generate new business opportunities for the group and the firm.
• Develop proposals, including budgets and scope of work, and present proposals to prospective clients.

We are looking for a Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Director to join our Advisory Department. As a TAS Director, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. • Prior experience dealing with lower middle market companies ( Solid working knowledge of US GAAP
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing aptitude
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve unstructured problems
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple engagements at once
