Job summary
Wastequip is seeking an Installer/Service Technician for our Houston, TX Tarps division. The role involves installation, repair, maintenance, and assembly of electric and hydraulic tarping systems and related truck equipment.
Must read instructions, perform basic mechanical/electrical repairs, weld/fabricate when needed, and follow safety standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, able to lift up to 100 lbs, work at heights, and work well in a team.
Qualifications
- Must fluent speak, read, and write English.
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience with Truck Equipment or Waste Equipment is a plus.
- Hydraulic equipment installations and repairs are a plus.
- Welding/fabrication skills not required but helpful.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret installation instructions and repair orders.
- Complete paperwork for repairs and parts usage.
- Install, repair and maintain electric and hydraulic tarping systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and simple electrical work.
- Use BOMs and pick tickets to assemble parts for shipping or installation.
- Lift assemblies up to 100 lbs and work at heights with PPE.
