Job description

Overview

Apogee is seeking a Target Digital Network Analyst (TDNA) to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC). This role provides technical intelligence analysis focused on characterizing, mapping, and assessing target digital networks to enable collection planning, access development, and operational decision-making across space and missile defense mission sets.

The TDNA analyzes network identifiers and infrastructure (e.g., IP addresses, domains, services, ports/protocols, and related artifacts), correlates data across multiple sources, and develops target profiles and network diagrams that describe structure, communications pathways, and key nodes. The analyst produces timely, customer-ready intelligence products and briefings, partners with collection/exploitation and mission teams to refine analytic questions and requirements, and documents analytic judgments in accordance with applicable tradecraft standards.

This is a full-time opportunity at Petterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO.

Contingent Upon Contract Award

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analytical collaboration and cross training with other SIGINT analysts or organizations to cross-team and cross-level information to increase target continuity and facilitate information sharing and analyst collaboration.
  • Understand Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, ports and protocols associated with telecommunications technologies, IPv4 and IPv6 networks, Classless Interdomain Routing (CIDR), and common internet protocols.
  • Document analytical tradecraft and target knowledge and create working aids to increase target continuity and facilitate information sharing and analyst collaboration. Prepare briefings & reports on analytical methodology and results.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientist to automate analytical workflow and enrich data.
  • Solve complex intelligence analysis challenges with a combination of analytical judgment, critical thinking, and proven analytical practices.
  • Evaluate technical information on targets of interest and identify changes to technology, or alternative means of communication.
  • Perform scientific and/or technical intelligence analysis to include but not limited to reporting on trends and implications of military force structure or doctrinal changes, or technical analysis of military systems.
  • Complete required NSA Courses NETA2402/NETA2108 (TDNA Analysis II) & any of the following: RPTG2238, RPTG2235, RPTG3225, RPTG3222 (Basic Analytical Reporting) or equivalent curriculum; RPTG4397 (Analytic Report Editing) or RPTG4398 (Report Releaser’s Course).
Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) adjudication

Education: Bachelors Degree

Years of Experience: 7+ cyber/NSA-IC analytic experience, including Target Digital Network Analysis (TDNA) and/or Digital Network Intelligence (DNI) production.

Additional Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience mapping and assessing target digital networks (nodes, identifiers, infrastructure, services, communications paths) to support collection, access, and operational planning.
  • Proficient in interpreting network and host artifacts (e.g., IPs, domains, URLs, certificates, email/handles, user-agent strings, ports/protocols) and correlating data across multiple sources.
  • Strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals: OSI/TCP-IP, TCP/UDP, common protocols/services (e.g., HTTP/S, DNS, SMTP, SSH, VPNs), IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, and CIDR.
  • Experience producing customer-ready analytic products (target packages, network diagrams, technical assessments, and briefings) with clear sourcing and defensible judgments.
  • Ability to work independently in a time‑sensitive, mission production environment and coordinate with collection, exploitation, and reporting teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting NSA production organizations, Service Cryptologic Components, and/or joint/IC mission centers.
  • Familiarity with malware/C2, traffic analysis, and infrastructure attribution techniques (to include pivoting across identifiers and services).
  • Experience with analytic tooling/workflows commonly used for network analysis (e.g., link analysis, packet/flow analysis, log analysis, graphing/visualization).
  • Relevant training/certifications (or equivalent experience), such as NSA DNI/TDNA tradecraft courses and/or industry certs (e.g., Sec+, Network+, GCTI/GCIA/GCIH, GSEC).
