Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a friendly Taqueria Cashier to provide fast, accurate service and cash handling in a busy Taqueria environment. You will record orders, promote sales, operate the register, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You should be comfortable handling money, have basic English, and be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Prior cashier or restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Friendly, courteous personality with strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Taqueria menu, foods, and beverages.
• Ability to count, handle money, and perform simple math accurately.
• Prior cashier or restaurant/fast food experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Record customer orders and promote sales.
• Operate cash register, scale, and equipment properly.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menus.
• Prepare agua fresca, juices, coffee, and champurrado; ensure beverage quality.
• Follow health codes and sanitation standards.
• Maintain work areas, floors, tables, and salsa bar clean and replenished.
