Job summary

Artisanal Brewing Ventures in Charlotte, NC seeks a friendly taproom host to greet guests, manage seating, and ensure a welcoming experience from arrival to departure.

You\'ll answer calls, oversee wait times with Table Maintenance, coordinate with staff, process merchandise sales at the POS, and keep the taproom and retail areas tidy and inviting. Must be 18+, able to stand long hours, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (17 allowed in certain counties).
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort discussing products with guests.
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use Table Maintenance technology to manage wait and floor plan.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact in the taproom, greeting guests warmly and ensuring a welcoming and organized guest experience from arrival to seating.
• Answer the telephone to attend to guest needs and use Table Maintenance technology to manage wait and floor plan.
• Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation and exceptional guest experience.
• Process merchandise transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Knowledge of merchandise and ability to answer guest questions.
• Restock the merchandise cooler and retail space to maintain an organized and visually appealing layout.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and organizing products in the retail space.
• Maintain cleanliness of host area, front taproom area, and merchandise area.
• Assist with other side work duties such as cleaning the dining area, restocking condiments, and restrooms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
