Job summary

Upstream Hospitality Group’s Tap Room is seeking experienced bartenders to join our front-of-house team in New York. You’ll craft quality drinks, engage guests, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on hospitality and teamwork.

As a Tap Room Bartender, you’ll handle beverage service, maintain knowledge of menus, and ensure compliance with all liquor laws while helping create a fun, memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in a similar role.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid TIPS Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to guests at the bar and dining room.
• Ask for ID anytime serving alcohol; follow policy and law.
• Maintain knowledge of food, beverage and beer menus, specials, promotions.
• Ensure prompt service for bar guests and service bar.
• Monitor and maintain bar cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Know proper pours and glassware usage.
• Adhere to liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
• Help promote our restaurant: Great food, good people!
• Assist teammates and complete opening/closing tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.
