Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Training Specialist Senior - AEGIS TAO Instructor/Lab Mentor to train Navy personnel in tactical decision-making, combat-system employment, watchstanding, and procedures in simulated environments.

You will plan advanced training, conduct simulator sessions, mentor students, and evaluate performance against standards. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience, plus Navy teaching background, are required with Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline.
• Seven years of experience with the required system or process in a master-level training environment.
• Experience as a TAO, Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator, Ballistic Missile Defense Officer, or Combat System Coordinator on an Aegis warship.
• One year as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum maintenance and testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct advanced tactical training for Navy TAO and warfare watchstations.
• Lead simulator and lab-based training with realistic scenarios to evaluate decision‑making.
• Mentor students with real-time guidance and post-exercise feedback to improve performance.
• Assess performance against established tactical, operational, watchstanding, and qualification standards.
• Coordinate with instructors and leadership to identify training needs and requirements.
• Ensure training environments comply with Navy policies and information-security requirements.
