Job summary

Aerotek in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Tanker Trailer Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fuel tanker trucks and trailers. You will work with DOT inspections, diagnose issues, and repair components while using your own rolling toolbox.

You should have hands-on experience with tanker equipment, diesel systems, welding, and a strong safety mindset. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite role with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of tanker trailer mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with DOT inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Owns a complete set of mechanic tools, rolling toolbox preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and work safely in a shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tanker trucks and trailers.
• Conduct DOT inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Repair components such as air compressors, fuel pumps, hubs and axles.
• Inspect and repair domes, valves, vents on tanker equipment.
• Diagnose and complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Document inspections and repairs for compliance.
• Use own tools and work independently with minimal supervision.
