Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Tanker Driver (CDL A, hazmat/tanker endorsements) for local and overnight routes in the Hopewell, VA area. The role includes a base hourly wage, bonuses, and benefits, with an additional per diem for overnight work.

The successful candidate will operate tankers safely, perform vehicle inspections, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. This is a full-time, on-site position with a strong safety culture and supported career growth.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
• Valid medical card.
• Two years of tractor/tanker experience; one year tanker experience preferred.
• Clean driving record for the past three years.

Responsibilities

• Make local and overnight trips as scheduled.
• Load, transfer, and unload raw product from a tanker truck.
• Transport and unload chemicals with required paperwork.
• Safely handle hoses during loading and unloading.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections.
• Comply with all company, customer, federal, state, and local laws.
