Tank Welder

Job Summary:

As a Tank Welder, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, specializing in the welding and fabrication of metal tanks used in various industries such as oil and gas, chemical, and water treatment. Your primary responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints and drawings, performing high-quality welds using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques, and ensuring the structural integrity and pressure resistance of all tank constructions. You will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure adherence to all safety regulations and project specifications, while also maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to set a welder according to job requirements.
  • Able to read weld symbols.
  • To follow safety procedures
  • To keep an accurate count on product
  • Able to read prints and weld according to print directions.
  • Able to weld in multiple positions.
  • Able to read and use measuring tools accurately.
  • Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it.
  • To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis

Qualifications:

  • Must have a safety-first mindset.
  • Requires attention to detail and a high standard of quality.
  • Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally.

Areas can be exposed to high heat and ultraviolet light. Wrist and hand usage is above normal. Overhead cranes are accessible for much of the area above 50lbs. There is heavy use of vibrating tools such as grinders. Flying debris is also a greater risk in these areas.
