Job summary

GE Appliances in Camden, SC is seeking a Seam Weld to join the Tank Fab team. You will perform manual welding on tank bodies and inspect welds to ensure the highest quality product reaches customers.

You will report to the Tank Fab Manager and handle related projects and duties as assigned. Key requirements include strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, adherence to safety procedures, and willingness to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety, quality, and procedure requirements.
• Perform welding on tank bodies and inspect welds for quality.
• Support process improvements and data collection for analysis.
• Operate in a LEAN manufacturing environment and provide feedback.
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of the seam weld area.
• Report quality defects and ensure proper identification of tanks.
• Wear PPE and work flexible hours with overtime as needed.
