Job summary

CITGO Petroleum Corporation in Corpus Christi is seeking an experienced Tank Maintenance Manager to oversee all refinery tank outages, safety programs, and API653 compliance. You will manage scopes of work, budgets, and contracts, coordinating with engineering, inspection, operations, and environmental teams.

Lead long-range planning for tank repairs (approximately 200 tanks), develop annual budgets of $15–25 million, and drive cost control using SAP, Primavera, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 7 years of job-related experience, or 15 years of maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
• Basic knowledge of Primavera Project 3.0.
• Basic knowledge of SAP.
• API653 knowledge preferred.
• Maintenance planning and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scope of work and cost estimates for tank repairs and obtain funding approvals.
• Develop a long-range (10-year) tank repair schedule for the refinery per API653.
• Create a consolidated yearly budget for tank repairs (roughly $15–$25M per year).
• Track monthly spending, report variances, and forecast year-end spend.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
• Manage tank repairs by internal contractors and coordinate with Purchasing for contract compliance.

Education
