Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Tank Mechanic for the 2nd shift (5:00pm to 2:00am). You will inspect and service ISO Tank Containers, performing pressure tests, repairs, and preventative maintenance to valves, gaskets, and gauges.

Role requires familiarity with hoists/cranes, measuring instruments, and the ability to work at heights and in enclosed tank spaces. We offer benefits including health coverage, 401(k) matching, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background required.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail orientation and accuracy essential.
• Able to wear a respirator and work at heights on tank surfaces.
• Comfort working in enclosed spaces inside tanks.

Responsibilities

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges.
• Drain tank and ensure it is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring/testing instruments.
• Observe and diagnose causes of mechanical issues in equipment.
• Repair/replace defective parts and inspect used parts.
• Lubricate and clean parts to ensure proper function.
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks.

Role overview:

Working on ISO Tank Containers by pressure testing tanks, drain and dry out the inside of the tank. Repair and replace tank container valves, gaskets and gauges.

Position Responsibilities:

• Pressure test, repair and replace valves, gaskets and gauges
• Drain tank and insuring tank is dry.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues
• Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Operate lathe, drill press and grinders
• Use hand tools and power tools

Qualifications:

• Candidates will possess a mechanical background
• Possess good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks
