Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a qualified engineer to lead mechanical and quality assurance activities for fixed equipment at our facilities. You will oversee weld inspection, tank integrity projects, and maintenance planning, coordinating with Operations, Scheduling, and Environmental teams to meet safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, knowledge of ASME, API, and NDE practices, and strong supervision skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred with minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Vessel Codes (Sec VIII Div I & II) and ASME Piping Codes (B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8).
• Experience with API tank/piping standards (API 510, API 570, API 580/581, API 579, API 571, API 620/650/653).
• Understanding of corrosion and welding, GTAW and SMAW processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality assurance and quality control for fixed equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Oversee tank integrity projects and budgeting for sustaining capital and major maintenance.
• Plan, schedule, and execute tank inspection and repairs to meet PCA standards.
• Provide technical support for tank integrity processes and for field maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
