Job summary

Sunoco is seeking a Drexel University Co‑Op student in Engineering to support the Tank Integrity Team for above-ground storage tanks at multiple terminals. You will gain hands‑on experience in a live oil and gas environment, assisting with inspections, repairs, and project management under supervision.

Responsibilities include reading inspection reports, developing scopes of work, coordinating with terminal managers, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting environmental and safety

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Drexel University Co‑Op Program.
• Major in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy.
• Ability to manage time, travel arrangements, expense reports and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret tank inspection reports, evaluate repairs, and develop scopes of work.
• Manage cleanings, inspections, and repairs for multiple tank projects.
• Coordinate with terminal managers to develop scopes, cost estimates, and meetings; manage project execution within budget.
• Ensure work complies with company and industry standards and procedures.
• Liaise with Business Development on tank outages and plans to reduce impact.
• Work with HSE on environmental compliance requirements.
• Maintain tank inspection compliance calendars and update the integrity database.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for the Tank Integrity Maintenance Program.
