Job summary

International-Matex Tank Terminals LLC is seeking a Tank Farm Terminal Operator to safely load and unload tank trucks, rail cars, barges, and ships handling specialty chemicals. This role requires learning to operate terminal equipment and performing daily operating tasks in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities include controlling transfers, verifying quantities with meters, and assisting with documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in field operations, preferably in chemical or Petro-Chemical industry.
• Professional safety training and/or experience in industrial firefighting.
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC credential.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor transfers of bulk liquids; establish connections between transfer lines, vessels, barges, rail cars and trucks.
• Verify quantities with flow meters and batch controllers; assist in generating transfer and shipping documents.
• Open/close valves; activate pumps; monitor heating systems and gauging equipment.
• Perform first level mechanical maintenance on pumps, valves, and loading arms.
• Assist in responding to terminal emergencies such as spills and fire.
