Job summary

DN Tanks is hiring a Laborer Journeyman to support all phases of the tank building process. You will help set the pace on site, assist other workers, and perform tasks under supervision from the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Foreman.

The role requires travel to project sites across the United States, tool ownership, and the ability to work at heights while wearing mandatory PPE. You will participate in safety programs and training to advance site operations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel to project sites across the United States.
• Owns and maintains general hand tools.
• Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, shoring and scaffolds.
• Must wear PPE including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments in a timely fashion with little supervision; support daily plan.
• Understand the tank building process and identify next tasks to be completed.
• Assist in checking grade and subgrade elevations using level or transit.
• Assist with shoring erection, bracing, dismantling, and load out of shoring materials.
• Assist with assembling pipe and fabrication of forms for pipe pits.
• Load out the tank including braces, shoring, etc.
• Train apprentices.
• Promote safe work practices and follow DN Tanks safety policies.
• Maintain certifications in DN safety programs.
