Job summary

DN Tanks LLC is seeking a Laborer Journeyman to support the tank building process across projects in the United States. You will assist with grading checks, shoring, pipe pit fabrication, and loading of tanks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will train apprentices and ensure site cleanliness, safety procedures, and adherence to DN Tanks safety policies. Travel to project sites nationwide is required, with emphasis on working safely at heights and using proper PPE.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide.
• Owns general hand tools.
• Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.
• Must wear PPE including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat and vest.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments in a timely fashion with little supervision; ask for additional information when tasks or assignments are unclear and support the daily plan.
• Understands the tank building process and can identify the next tasks to be completed in the process.
• Assists in checking grade and subgrade elevations using level or transit.
• Assists with the shoring erection, bracing, dismantling, and load out of shoring materials.
• Assists with assembling pipe and fabrication of forms for pipe pits.
• Loads out the tank including braces, shoring, etc.
• Trains apprentices.
• Assists with shoring installation.
• Responsible for continuous site cleanup and organization.
• Follows safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policies.
• Participates in the review of the task hazard analysis (THA).
• Identifies safety hazards and participates in the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program.
• Promotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work.
• Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediately.
• Maintains all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs.
• Establishes and executes DN University training goals with assistance from the Field Operations Manager.
• Plans safety into each operation and identifies or removes hazards immediately as part of the task without being asked.
