Qualifications

• Must pass the applicable welding test as prescribed by the company.
• Demonstrate job-related computational knowledge; for example, be able to read a ruler.
• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Safety and quality focused, willingness to wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Welds components related to tank cars including tanks, bolsters, underframes.
• Performs welded repairs using air arc cutting torch and stick or wire welding equipment.
• Repairs, straightens, removes, reworks car parts using various hand and power tools.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and reports potential hazards.
