Zusammenfassung

UTLX is seeking a Blaster for our Cleveland, Texas repair shop to prepare railcar surfaces for inspection, repair, coating, and finishing. You will operate shot blasting equipment, remove rust and contaminants, and ensure surfaces meet quality standards.

The role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and strict adherence to safety in a high-paced industrial setting. You will work with interior and exterior railcar surfaces, maintain equipment, and support a safe, efficient work

Aufgaben

• Safely operate shot blasting equipment with moderate supervision.
• Prepare interior and exterior railcar surfaces by removing rust, scale, weld slag, and contaminants.
• Use approved air tools to remove grit, dust, and debris following blasting operations.
• Inspect railcars and components for damage after blasting activities.
• Grind weld spatter, laminations, and sharp edges as required.
• Maintain blasting equipment and related tools.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
