Phillips Tank & Structure is hiring a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join a nationwide team. This role requires the ability to weld using various processes, operate heavy equipment, and follow safety protocols on tank projects across multiple sites.

We value reliability and teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be eligible to work in the United States, and pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Willing to undergo background checks.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to pre-hire drug testing.
• Welding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, and grinders.
• Weld plates with SMAW and FCAW processes.
• Use lifting equipment like come-alongs and hoists.
• Use tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders.
• Perform non-destructive tests (oil tests, dye penetrant).
• Use gas monitors and safety kits.
• Operate forklifts and boom lifts.
• Read erection and fabrication drawings.
• Plan sequence of fitting up, welding, repairing tanks.
• Complete safety analyses and site training.
• Follow directions and work with crew.
• Other duties as assigned.
