Job Title: Tank Builder/ Welder (Nationwide)

Position Details:

• Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience and skill set, plus per diem for meals and lodging. Normal hourly wage paid for work-related travel, no overtime. Non-union, occasional prevailing wage. No PTO or paid holidays. Weekly pay periods. Direct deposit available.
• Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits available after 30 days of probation. Phillips Tank covers approximately 60% of medical premiums; employees pay 40%. Employees pay 100% for dental and vision premiums.
• Shift: Typical daylight shift (10 hours/day, 5 days/week), with variation based on project needs.
• Status: Full-time, subject to project availability and schedules.

Travel: Required 75% of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power tools.
• Weld using various techniques including SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc automatic machines.
• Use lifting equipment such as come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, and winches.
• Utilize tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment.
• Conduct non-destructive tests like vacuum box, oil tests, dye penetrant.
• Operate safety and lifting equipment, including gas monitors and respirators.
• Read and interpret detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
• Plan fitting, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks.
• Complete safety analyses, audits, and training.
• Work professionally with team members and follow directions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience with arc and torch cutting, welding, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of crane operations, rigging, and signaling preferred.
• Ability to read detailed drawings and plan work accordingly.
