Responsibilities

1. Perform welding tasks on storage tanks, including using techniques such as stick and flux core welding.
2. Ensure the structural integrity and safety of storage tanks through proper welding practices.
3. Interpret blueprints and specifications to execute welding tasks accurately.
4. Inspect welding work for quality, identifying and addressing defects.
5. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines.
6. Follow safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
7. Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment, performing routine maintenance.

Requirements

1. Minimum 1 year of welding experience, preferably in storage tanks.
2. Certified welder with knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
3. Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications.
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
5. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
6. Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy equipment.
7. Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Willing to travel.

Starting pay is $30-$34 per hour, depending on experience and welding test results. Additional benefits include a subsistence allowance of $115 and mileage reimbursement of $0.70 per mile when applicable.
