Job summary

CACI is seeking a Tanium Engineer to support the DoD Air Force Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS). The role requires extensive Tanium experience and an active DoD secret clearance.

You will administer Tanium platform, monitor security, and develop custom sensors and reports to provide actionable insights. Join a team delivering enterprise ITSM, service desk operations, endpoint management, and security across CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Tanium platform and endpoint agents.

• Monitor health, performance, and security of systems.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure issues proactively.
• Optimize Tanium for scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Document configurations, procedures, and integrations.
• Develop and enforce security and operational policies.

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Tanium Engineer to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Information Technology as a Service (EITaaS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information systems, and an in-depth proficiency and knowledge of the Tanium platform, Core and Add on Modules.

Within the EITaaS environment, CACI provides modernized capabilities and services-including enterprise ITSM, service desk operations, endpoint management and security, CONUS/OCONUS field support, and full life cycle sustainment for end user devices. Your team's engineering outcomes will directly support the DAF's transformation from IT centric operations to mission focused operations, driving increased agility, reliability, and security across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and maintain platform and endpoint agents
• Plan, execute, and manage upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Monitor health, performance, and security.
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Optimize platform for scalability, performance, and resource utilization.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain policies to achieve security and operational goals.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and maintenance of the Tanium platform and its modules.
• Automate tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Develop custom reports and dashboards to visualize data collected by Tanium and provide actionable insights.
• Develop custom Tanium sensors and packages to collect data, deploy software, and enforce configurations.
• Create custom reports and dashboards to visualize data and provide actionable insights.
• Support security incident response efforts by providing endpoint data, facilitating rapid containment, and automating remediation.
• Implement and Manage roll-out of Tanium Provisioning.

Qualifications:

Required:

• CompTIA Security+ or other DoD Approved 8570 Baseline certification at IAT Level II or higher
• 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor's degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
• An active DoD secret clearance
• Proficiency in Tanium platform and its core and add on modules (e.g., Discover, Patch, Comply, Provision, Threat Response)
• Strong scripting abilities (Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting)
• Solid understanding of Windows, Linux operating systems
• Understanding of network protocols and security concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and explain policies/procedures to stakeholders within and outside the job function.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced and highly complex environment with frequently changing requirements

Desired:

• Experience with ServiceNow
• Additional certifications such as PMP or Tanium Certified Operator or Administrator
• Experience with implementing and optimizing cloud-based UEM solutions.
• Experience with DOD, DOW, or Federal Agencies
