Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking a Director of Recruitment & Selection to lead the network-wide strategy for attracting diverse talent across school sites and the Home Office. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, you will scale data-informed recruitment systems and partner with school leaders to ensure full staffing for student success.

You will manage the Manager of Recruitment & Selection, develop pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, and champion equitable hiring practices while collaborating

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition and recruitment experience.
• 1+ years of direct people management.
• Experience in K-12 education is highly preferred.
• Ability to travel across Summit sites in SF Bay Area and WA when required.
• Proficiency with ATS and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Lead network-wide recruitment and selection strategy for all roles.
• Refine selection systems and interview protocols to improve candidate and manager experiences.
• Build robust talent pipelines and strategic partnerships with universities and placement agencies.
• Coach hiring managers on talent planning and inclusive selection methods.
• Partner with People Operations and Home Office to align onboarding, retention, and people experience initiatives.
• Deliver professional development on recruitment best practices and bias mitigation.
