Job summary

Proxima seeks a Senior Consultant to lead complex workstreams, manage senior stakeholders, and deliver innovative solutions. You will be part of client-facing teams driving commercial, sourcing, and supplier initiatives, shaping insights and solution design, and delivering measurable outcomes.

This fast-paced role in a global firm involves mentoring junior consultants, participating in workshops, and traveling as required to support client delivery.

The opportunity

As a Senior Consultant at Proxima, you will lead complex workstreams and manage senior stakeholders while delivering innovative solutions and mentoring junior consultants. You will be part of client-facing teams delivering high-impact commercial, sourcing, and supplier initiatives, supporting the development of insights, contributing to solution design, and playing an active role in delivering outcomes, not just recommendations.

This is not a passive learning role. At Proxima, we are practitioner-consultants. You will build experience quickly, take responsibility early, and work alongside clients to deliver real, measurable change.

What you’ll do

Support delivery across client engagements

• Experience leading teams and workstreams or projects across complex engagements
• Assist with opportunity identification, supplier research, and commercial analysis.
• Identify opportunities supporting client value and revenue growth.

Management and career development

• Coach and develop junior consultants.

Engage and collaborate with stakeholders

What you bring

Experience and skills

• Strong experience in consulting, procurement, supply chain, or a related analytical role.
• Ability to demonstrate a working understanding of MRO supplier markets, offerings, and operations, including expertise in handling subcategories such as: PPE, PVF, electrical, PTB, gaskets & sealing, hardware, HVAC, repair parts, general spares, and/or lab supplies)
• Ability to demonstrate experience employing strategies to drive value through the use of strategic sourcing, improved commercial clauses, contracts, and logistics strategies (i.e. global sourcing, tariff mitigation, P2P process improvement, Vendor Managed Inventory, contract performance/health metrics, etc.)
• Experience supporting project delivery and managing stakeholder engagement across workstreams.
• Strong analytical capability and confidence working with data.
