Role Summary:

As a Talent Management Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping and supporting talent strategies that help employees grow and thrive. You’ll lead talent processes across the business—such as performance management, talent reviews, and strategic workforce planning—while working closely with HR and business leaders. This role also supports organization design efforts and helps build a culture of engagement, inclusion, and alignment.

Role Responsibilities:

Lead and Improve Talent Processes

  • Design and manage key talent processes like performance management, talent reviews, and strategic workforce planning
  • Create and lead training or workshops to help managers and employees navigate these processes
  • Gather feedback to continuously improve how we support talent growth

Partner with the Business

  • Develop tailored talent plans that align with enterprise strategies and business needs in partnership with Business HR team
  • Identify each business unit’s unique talent challenges and guide quarterly talent discussions to address them

Support Strategic Talent Priorities

  • Help execute strategic workforce planning in partnership with HR leaders
  • Guide long-term career development strategies, including enterprise-wide job experiences and leadership growth opportunities
  • Develop talent scorecards to track progress, identify trends, and inform future planning

Contribute to Organization Design

  • Analyze team structures and workflows to recommend improvements
  • Use data (e.g., spans of control, org layers) to inform design decisions
  • Support org redesign initiatives and maintain tools like templates, frameworks, and visual maps
  • Ensure new designs align with business goals and support growth

Build Culture and Engagement

  • Coordinate culture and engagement assessments, including communications and logistics
  • Analyze feedback, identify key themes, and share actionable insights with leadership teams
  • Facilitate team discussions to support engagement, belonging, and cultural alignment
  • Track follow-up actions and support teams as they respond to feedback

Support Tools and Practices

  • Help build and improve frameworks, tools, and resources that support talent and organizational development

Location:

This role is either remote, or hybrid out of one of our offices, based on the candidate’s location. For hybrid office locations, we Succeed Togetherthough in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, or related fields
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills
  • Ability to create inclusive and engaging content for a variety of audiences
  • Experience with core talent areas such as performance, development, engagement, or succession
  • Comfort using data and HR systems to inform decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of organization design or change management approaches
  • Familiarity with skills-based talent strategies is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in HRD, Talent, Organization Behaviors or OD
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification

What We Offer:

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.

The annual salary range for this role is: $77,300 - $115,900. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
