Turn/River is seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Development & Performance in San Francisco. Hybrid work with onsite Tue-Thu.
You will own onboarding, learning programs, performance management, and career development, partnering with senior leaders to codify best practices and scale talent initiatives across a growing portfolio. You’ll build practical learning experiences, translate expertise into actionable programs, and enable managers with tools to drive development and performance across the
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience across Talent Development, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, People Development, or related discipline.
- Experience owning multiple aspects of the talent lifecycle, including learning and development, performance management, career development, or manager development.
- Proven experience designing and implementing onboarding and development programs from strategy through execution.
- Ability to translate complex knowledge into clear, engaging learning experiences.
- Experience supporting or owning performance management processes and connecting performance, feedback, and development.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, design, and execution of firm-wide onboarding and talent development programs for new and tenured employees.
- Partner with leaders to translate institutional knowledge into practical learning experiences, including live training, cohorts, case studies, playbooks, and self-guided resources.
- Own and evolve the firm’s performance management process, including annual reviews, mid-year check-ins, and manager enablement.
- Partner on career development and leveling, translating career frameworks into expectations and growth conversations.
- Develop tools and programs that strengthen manager effectiveness, including feedback, coaching, and development.
- Identify development needs and create targeted workshops, trainings, lunches & learns, or bespoke experiences.
- Support talent reviews, development planning, and succession thinking for critical roles and high-impact talent.
- Measure effectiveness of talent programs and improve them based on feedback.
- Contribute to broader People initiatives related to talent strategy and organizational effectiveness.
