Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is offering a Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The program provides extensive paid training to develop maintenance or controls technicians, combining classroom instruction with on-the-job learning to prepare participants to join CBRE’s client operations team. Participants will gain hands-on experience in safeguarding operations, solving electrical and mechanical issues, and performing preventative maintenance on material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to attend a 9-week in-person paid training at a designated training provider.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to solve problems and follow general instructions in standard situations (routine maintenance, repairs, preventive measures, safety compliance).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical requirements (stair/climb/standing).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.).
• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Collaborate with Client and Operations Maintenance teams.

About the Role

The Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship program offers an extensive paid training in the Maintenance Technical field. Participants seeking an exciting career as a Maintenance or Controls Technician gain valuable skills through a combination of 9 weeks of classroom instruction and on-the-job learning that prepares them to join our account for a world-class leader.

What You’ll Do

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.


• Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.


• Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.


• Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.


• Track and store department inventory.


• Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.


• Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


• Ability to attend a 9-week in person paid training at a designated training provider.


• Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).


• Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.


• Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
