Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Visa Hunt is building a new era of AI-native recruiting at marketplace scale. As a Talent AI Operator, you will supervise AI agent pipelines, guide high-stakes conversations, and shape how humans and AI collaborate to close roles.
This role centers on judgment and precision, training AI outputs, and scaling playbooks while partnering with product, engineering, and leadership. On-site in San Francisco or Los Angeles preferred, with hybrid options.
This is a brand-new kind of role at a fast-growing, pre-seed AI-native recruiting platform operating at marketplace scale — with tens of thousands of candidates and hundreds of startup customers already on the platform. The company builds autonomous AI agents that handle end-to-end recruiting: sourcing, personalized outreach, candidate conversations, qualification, and interview scheduling.
As a Talent AI Operator, you are not a traditional recruiter. You are the human layer that makes autonomous recruiting actually work. Think air traffic controller, not pilot. The AI handles volume; you provide judgment, oversight, and precision at the moments that matter most. You'll help define what AI-native recruiting operations looks like as this team scales.
Supervise AI agent pipelines: Monitor live candidate conversations, flag errors, and intervene when the agent requires human judgment.
Handle high‑stakes moments: Senior candidates, tricky objections, compensation negotiations — conversations where human touch still wins.
Train the agents: Review agent outputs, label good/bad responses, and write examples that make the AI smarter over time.
Quality control at scale: Audit candidate matches, outreach quality, and conversion rates across thousands of weekly touchpoints.
Close placements: Guide candidates through final stages, manage offer conversations, and ensure successful hires.
Build the playbook: Document what works, create SOPs, and define how humans and AI agents collaborate effectively.
2+ years of talent operations, recruitment, or sourcing experience at early‑stage tech startups (pre‑seed/seed stage)
Extensive hands‑on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to evaluate output quality, identify errors, and understand AI capabilities and limitations
Proven ability to design and optimize end‑to‑end recruitment processes: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management, and candidate experience
Experience monitoring and quality‑assuring high‑volume candidate pipelines (hundreds to thousands of weekly touchpoints)
Experience closing placements and managing final‑stage candidate conversations including offer negotiation and objection handling
Experience training, labeling outputs, or providing structured feedback to improve AI/ML systems or agent performance
Data‑informed mindset: comfortable working with KPIs, dashboards, A/B tests, and conversion rate analysis
Strong communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering, design, and leadership
Ability to work on‑site in San Francisco as needed (hackerhouse option available)
Experience at AI/ML‑focused startups or with AI‑native hiring processes
Familiarity with modern tech stacks (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL) to communicate effectively with engineers
Experience documenting processes, creating SOPs, or building operational playbooks
This role is a proving ground. Strong performers can grow into:
Account Lead: Own client relationships and agent performance for key accounts
Agent Training Lead: Own the feedback loop that continuously improves the AI
Operations Lead: Build and manage the broader ops team as the company scales
Uncapped performance‑based compensation tied to successful placements — top performers earn significantly more
Performance‑based equity: Equity grants available to top performers after a successful 90‑day window, with potential for meaningful ownership as scope expands
Optional: live and work from the company's San Francisco hackerhouse
Primary location: Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA. Hybrid work arrangement with on‑site availability expected. Visa sponsorship is available.
