This is an entry level position with the Recruitment and Examination Division for the Department of Budget and Management. The incumbent will assist the division in its efforts to guide Maryland State agencies in identifying best qualified applicants. The division shares their expert knowledge of recruitment and selection processes, understanding of legal and technical standards regarding recruitment and employee selection, and recent innovations and best practices in personnel selection with the other agencies within the State Personnel Management System.
Experience:
One year of paraprofessional personnel work experience. Paraprofessional personnel work is defined as work involving the application of public sector personnel procedures, policies, rules and regulations to specific employment actions. Appropriate paraprofessional personnel experience includes responsibility for activities such as: preparing and maintaining employment records, calculating salaries, applying personnel-related rules and policies, preparing personnel-related reports, conducting employee orientation and counseling employees regarding benefits and obligations and responding to inquiries concerning employment actions.
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s). Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
Possession of a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
