Job summary

Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to source and recruit for open positions, screen and pre-interview applicants, and coordinate advertising and outreach. You will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a smooth interview process.

The role involves onboarding coordination, maintaining candidate relationships, and staying current with employment laws while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of high-volume recruiting or related experience.
• Hotel or Resort experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Intermediate experience with HCM, ATS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of employment laws and confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and recruiting for open positions.
• Pre-interviews and screening; coordinate advertising and outreach.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
• Schedule and manage interview logistics.
• Coordinate onboarding with Talent Acquisition Administrator.
• Maintain applicant tracking and relationships with potential candidates.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
