Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our growing needs in the skilled trade sectors. This role will be instrumental in managing a high volume of requisitions and identifying skilled trades professionals to support our operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of recruiting within the skilled trades industry and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High-Volume Recruiting: Manage full-cycle recruitment for multiple openings in skilled positions, ensuring timely and efficient hiring.
  • Source Skilled Tradespeople: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, trade schools, social media, industry networking, and referral programs to identify qualified candidates for skilled trades positions.
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified trades professionals to meet both current and future hiring demands.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings and in-depth interviews to assess candidates' technical skills, qualifications, and cultural fit for the company.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Partner with hiring managers to understand specific needs for each role, including technical requirements, certifications, and experience levels, to source the best candidates.
  • Coordinate Interviews and Hiring Process: Schedule interviews with hiring managers and maintain clear communication with candidates throughout the process, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track key recruiting metrics, such as time to fill, time to hire, and source effectiveness, to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruitment process.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing clear communication, timely feedback, and a smooth onboarding process.
  • Compliance: Ensure recruiting practices are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, especially regarding skilled labor certifications and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of high-volume recruiting experience, preferably in HVAC, Controls, Electrical, or similar skilled trades.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required if you have equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting in the skilled trades, with an understanding of industry-specific certifications, qualifications, and employment challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions at once.
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), with experience in UKG being a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Familiarity with sourcing strategies in high-turnover environments, including trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and industry networks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive hiring targets.
