Gemspring Capital in Westport, CT is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full-cycle recruiting for the firm, spanning investment roles from Analyst to Vice President and corporate functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification not required.
• 3 to 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including in-house recruiting in a high growth environment, with prior agency or executive search experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to run searches end to end with limited oversight, from intake and market mapping through offer, close, and onboarding.
• Advanced direct sourcing capability, deep fluency in pipeline strategy and candidate assessment, and strong command of compensation and market dynamics.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, financial services hiring such as private equity, investment banking, and asset management is a strong preference.
• Fluent with AI tools and comfortable putting them to work in the recruiting process, including sourcing, research, screening, outreach, and reporting, with sound judgment about where human assessment cannot be delegated.
• Highly motivated and entrepreneurial, with a track record of strong performance and ownership under pressure.
• Strong communicator, clear and concise in writing and in person, with the presence to engage credibly with Managing Directors, senior candidates, search partners, and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Intake and strategy: Partner with Managing Directors and leaders to scope roles and set search strategy and timelines.
• Sourcing: Build pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, alumni networks, and targeted research.
• Screening and process: Run first-round screens, coordinate interviews, administer case studies, conduct reference checks.
• Offers and closing: Prepare offer recommendations, extend and negotiate offers, manage candidate communication through start date.
• Onboarding: Manage the new hire experience through 90 days with logistics and onboarding plans.
• Systems and reporting: Own ATS, provide hiring updates, draft job descriptions and postings, and manage candidate-facing presence.
