Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Source, pre-screen, and evaluate candidates for casino, hotel, and operational positions across the property
• Guide applicants through the hiring process from first contact and interviews to offers and orientation
• Identify and build local recruitment channels via social media, job boards, schools, and community organizations
• Represent Treasure Island at job fairs and campus recruitment events
• Collaborate with department managers to plan for ongoing and future staffing needs
• Train management on effective, objective interview techniques and fair hiring practices
• Deliver excellent service to applicants and internal teams, upholding high guest-service standards
• Maintain candidate records and postings in the ATS and ensure compliance with policies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source, pre-screen, and evaluate qualified candidates for casino, hotel, and operational positions across the property
• Guide applicants through every step of the hiring process. From first contact and interviews to contingent job offers, pre-employment screenings, and orientation setup
• Identify and build local recruitment channels using social media, digital job boards, high schools, trade schools, colleges, and community organizations, etc.
• Represent Treasure Island Resort & Casino at internal and external job fairs, community outreach events, and campus recruitment efforts
• Be future-focused by building strong relationships with department managers to understand and plan for their ongoing and future staffing needs
• Help train and coach management teams on effective, objective interview techniques and fair hiring practices
• Deliver exceptional service to job applicants and internal team members, matching the high guest service standards expected across the property
• Maintain accurate candidate records, job postings, and applicant statuses within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Ensure all hiring and recruitment activities strictly adhere to Native Preference policies, Tribal Gaming regulations, Tribal policies, federal laws, and any state laws formally adopted by The Tribe

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources experience, preferably in hospitality, gaming, or high-volume staffing
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to travel to off-site recruitment events regularly

Preferred:

• Experience using UKG Pro (specifically the Recruiting and Onboarding modules) or similar HRIS/ATS platforms

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time with moderate amounts walking and standing
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
• Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed primarily in administration building but may include going onto the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke, and outdoors for team member events
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
• High volume direct public contact
