Job summary

Treasure Island Resort & Casino is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to source, pre-screen, and evaluate candidates for casino, hotel, and operational roles across the property. You will guide applicants from first contact through orientation and manage relationships with department managers to anticipate staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources experience, preferably in hospitality, gaming, or high-volume staffing.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to travel to off-site recruitment events regularly.
• Experience with UKG Pro Recruiting & Onboarding or similar HRIS/ATS platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source, pre-screen, and evaluate qualified candidates for casino, hotel, and operational positions across the property.
• Guide applicants through every step of the hiring process, from first contact to orientation setup.
• Identify and build local recruitment channels using social media, job boards, schools, colleges, and community orgs.
• Represent Treasure Island Resort & Casino at job fairs and campus recruitment events.
• Build strong relationships with department managers to plan for staffing needs.
• Train management teams on objective interview techniques and fair hiring practices.
• Deliver exceptional service to applicants and internal teams, upholding guest-service standards.
• Maintain candidate records, job postings, and applicant statuses in the ATS.
• Ensure hiring activities adhere to Native Preference policies, Tribal Gaming regulations, and related laws.

Pay Rate: $25.00 an hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source, pre-screen, and evaluate qualified candidates for casino, hotel, and operational positions across the property
• Guide applicants through every step of the hiring process. From first contact and interviews to contingent job offers, pre-employment screenings, and orientation setup
• Identify and build local recruitment channels using social media, digital job boards, high schools, trade schools, colleges, and community organizations, etc.
• Represent Treasure Island Resort & Casino at internal and external job fairs, community outreach events, and campus recruitment efforts
• Be future-focused by building strong relationships with department managers to understand and plan for their ongoing and future staffing needs
• Help train and coach management teams on effective, objective interview techniques and fair hiring practices
• Deliver exceptional service to job applicants and internal team members, matching the high guest service standards expected across the property
• Maintain accurate candidate records, job postings, and applicant statuses within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
• Ensure all hiring and recruitment activities strictly adhere to Native Preference policies, Tribal Gaming regulations, Tribal policies, federal laws, and any state laws formally adopted by The Tribe

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources experience, preferably in hospitality, gaming, or high-volume staffing
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to travel to off-site recruitment events regularly

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time with moderate amounts walking and standing

• Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed primarily in administration building but may include going onto the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke, and outdoors for team member events
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
