- Recruit across AI/ML, robotics hardware and software, simulation, product, operations, and business functions.
- Develop targeted talent maps and proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Google Scholar, research labs, referrals, conferences, and professional networks.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, establish evaluation criteria, calibrate candidate quality, and maintain efficient interview processes.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and effective relationship management.
- Build and optimize AI-assisted recruiting workflows for sourcing research, outreach, candidate summaries, interview feedback, market intelligence, and pipeline reporting.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, including pipeline health, conversion rates, time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates.
- Maintain accurate ATS records and ensure structured, consistent, and compliant recruiting practices.
- Manage complex hiring situations involving competing offers, compensation negotiations, relocation, and visa considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including successfully closing senior and hard-to-fill positions.
- Direct recruiting experience within robotics, autonomous systems, or a comparable deep-tech environment.
- Demonstrated success recruiting across AI/ML, hardware, and software engineering, as well as non-technical functions such as product, operations, and business.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to evaluate resumes, technical publications, GitHub profiles, and candidates' project experience.
- Hands-on experience using AI assistants such as Claude or comparable tools, including AI agents and agentic workflows in recruiting.
- Advanced sourcing skills, including Boolean search, X-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and technical talent research.
- Strong candidate engagement, offer management, compensation negotiation, and closing skills.
- Experience with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Rippling, or similar systems.
- A data-driven approach to recruiting, with strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple searches, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willingness to work onsite five days a week in either San Francisco, CA, or Cambridge, MA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting rapid headcount growth at a startup or following a funding milestone.
- An established network within robotics and AI communities in the Bay Area or Boston/Cambridge.
- Experience recruiting research-focused candidates, including PhDs and candidates with academic publications or laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with hardware development cycles, prototyping, testing, and production milestones.
- Experience developing AI prompt libraries, custom agents, or internal recruiting automation tools.
