Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Kansas City area to join our Human Resources team. This exempt role collaborates with managers to attract experienced professionals and drive efficiencies across recruiting processes.

We emphasize a positive culture and the ability to prioritize, with travel as needed. Applicants must be located near Kansas City, KS or nearby states and be ready to work in a dynamic freight services environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience.
• Onboarding experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR functions and regulatory compliance (DOT/FMCSA preferred).
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain recruiting applicant tracking system (Workday) ensuring information is up-to-date for all open positions.
• Source passive candidates on platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and more.
• Coordinate and conduct phone interviews for candidates.
• Manage the candidate experience from application to training.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Attend job fairs, community activities, and recruitment events as needed.
• Process paperwork and ensure personnel information is accurate and confidential.
• Oversee full life cycle of recruitment, including sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, selection and background reporting.

$58,000-$70,000/year (depending on location and experience)

Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works closely with our managers to attract experienced professionals to our team. Essential Job Duties

• Maintain recruiting applicant tracking system (Workday) ensuring information is up-to-date for all open positions.
• Source passive and candidates for difficult to fill positions on platforms such as (LinkedIn, Facebook, Indeed and more).
• Create, post and manage advertising needs on a variety of social media platforms.
• Coordinate and conduct phone interviews for candidates.
• Actively managing the pre-screen and background check process and assis as backup in the onboarding for new hires.
• Manage the candidate experience from application to end of training.
• Maintain professional communication and confidentiality with candidates and employees with sensitive information.
• Represent and promote the organization to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
• Assist with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve process.
• Attend and participate in job fairs, community activities, and other public and departmental recruitment-related events, including travel as needed.
• Process paperwork and/or forms in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure personnel and department information is processed, kept organized, up-to-date, and strictly confidential.
• Responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment, including but not limited to sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, selection and background reporting.
• All other tasks as assigned.

Skills & Knowledge

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Recruiting required.
• Onboarding experience preferred.
• Significant knowledge of HR functions.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, and industry-specific requirements (DOT/FMCSA regulations preferred).
• Must be detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, organization, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, etc.
• Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
