Job description

Talent Acquisition Specialist
Where Healthcare Meets Talent

Walker Healthforce is a specialized healthcare IT consulting and contingent workforce solutions firm connecting exceptional professionals with leading organizations across the healthcare ecosystem. We operate at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and business.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team and lead recruiting for positions across Walker Healthforce. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role is ideal for a recruiter who combines strong relationship-building and candidate assessment skills with a high level of technical proficiency and a genuine interest in using technology and AI to make recruiting smarter and more effective.

What You'll Do
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from intake through accepted offer and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, candidate profiles, hiring priorities, and timelines.
  • Source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, internal databases, and advanced Boolean search techniques.
  • Review resumes and conduct interviews to assess experience, skills, motivation, communication, and overall fit.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, references, offers, and pre-employment activities.
  • Provide hiring managers with market insights on talent availability, compensation expectations, and recruiting trends.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity in our applicant tracking system.
  • Track recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Support employer branding, employee referrals, internship programs, and other talent initiatives.
Technology & AI

Technology is an important part of how this role works. The successful candidate will be comfortable learning new systems, experimenting with new tools, and using technology to improve recruiting outcomes.

You will:

  • Use recruiting technology including Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Microsoft 365, and other sourcing and productivity platforms.
  • Leverage AI tools to support sourcing, candidate research, job description development, recruiting communications, market research, interview preparation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Use advanced search techniques, Boolean logic, filters, databases, and digital research tools to identify hard-to-find talent.
  • Evaluate and adopt new recruiting technologies and AI capabilities that can improve productivity, candidate engagement, and hiring quality.
  • Use AI responsibly, maintaining appropriate confidentiality, data privacy, accuracy, and human oversight.
  • Look for opportunities to automate repetitive recruiting tasks while keeping the candidate experience personal and relationship-driven.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred.
  • Strong sourcing skills with demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates.
  • Strong technical aptitude and confidence learning new recruiting platforms, systems, and digital tools.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity, research, communication, or recruiting workflows.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leaders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable managing multiple searches and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious, resourceful, proactive, and willing to continuously test and learn new approaches.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in staffing, consulting, or professional services.
  • Experience recruiting sales, recruiting, account management, or other revenue-generating professionals.
  • Experience with Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and similar recruiting platforms.
  • Advanced Boolean search and proactive sourcing capabilities.
  • Experience with generative AI, AI-assisted sourcing, automation, analytics, or other emerging recruiting technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
What Success Looks Like

You build strong partnerships with internal partners, develop consistent pipelines of qualified talent, and move searches forward with urgency. You are equally comfortable talking with candidates and working inside recruiting technology. You don't simply use the tools available to you—you look for better ways to work.

Most importantly, you understand that AI and technology can make recruiting more efficient, but great hiring still depends on judgment, relationships, communication, and a strong candidate experience.

If you're a recruiter who enjoys finding great people, learning new technology, and using AI to work smarter, we'd like to hear from you.
