Job summary

Road Safety Services is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Specialist to go beyond posting jobs and waiting for applications. You will headhunt passive candidates, build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, and partner with operations across markets.

Expect 15-20% overnight travel to support recruiting efforts across 23+ states and 50 locations. Ideal candidates bring strong sourcing, networking, relationship-building skills and proven ATS experience to efficiently manage

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience in pavement marking or related industries.
• Proven experience headhunting passive candidates.
• Comfortable cold calling and initiating conversations with candidates.
• Experience recruiting skilled field and construction professionals.
• Strong sourcing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Adaptable and able to pivot as hiring priorities change.
• Willingness to travel 15-20%, including overnight trips.
• Experience using ATS and candidate sourcing platforms.

Road Safety Services (RSS) is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Specialist who knows great recruiting goes beyond posting a job and waiting for applications.

We're looking for a confident, resourceful recruiter who enjoys headhunting, cold calling, finding passive candidates, researching competitors, and building relationships in the field. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, adapt as priorities change, and take ownership without needing a step-by-step playbook.

This position requires approximately 15-20% overnight travel to support recruiting efforts across our operating companies and key markets.

What You'll Do

• Headhunt and directly recruit passive candidates.
• Cold call and proactively connect with candidates who aren't actively job searching.
• Research competitors and identify experienced talent in key markets.
• Build pipelines for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
• Recruit pavement marking operators, traffic control professionals, CDL drivers, mechanics, estimators, foremen, project managers, superintendents, and other specialized talent.
• Develop candidate networks through field recruiting, referrals, industry events, trade schools, and professional relationships.
• Partner with Operations and hiring managers to understand their business and talent needs.
• Use LinkedIn, Indeed, networking, referrals, and other sourcing tools to identify qualified candidates.
• Screen candidates and manage relationships throughout the hiring process.
• Travel to operating locations and recruiting markets as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience within pavement marking, traffic control, roadway safety, heavy civil construction, or a closely related industry.
• Proven experience headhunting and recruiting passive candidates.
• Comfortable cold calling and initiating conversations with prospective candidates.
• Experience recruiting skilled field and construction professionals.
• Strong sourcing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Confident working independently and taking ownership of recruiting assignments.
• Adaptable and able to pivot quickly as hiring priorities change.
• Resourceful and comfortable working through unfamiliar situations.
• Strong sense of urgency, follow-through, and accountability.
• Experience using an ATS and candidate sourcing platforms.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15-20%, including overnight travel.
