Job summary

Annandale Village is seeking a Recruitment and Retention Specialist to support hourly and frontline hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives within our mission-driven nonprofit campus. You will manage full-cycle recruiting, coordinate pre-employment steps, and partner with HR leaders to improve the candidate experience and workforce engagement at Annandale Village.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting, hiring coordination, staffing, or related experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems, HR databases, or similar technology.
• Ability to communicate professionally and build positive relationships with candidates and hiring leaders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently within assigned areas while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
• Commitment to providing a positive candidate experience and supporting Annandale’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned hourly and frontline positions.
• Post and maintain internal and external job opportunities across approved recruiting platforms.
• Review applications and identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct phone or virtual pre-screen interviews.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.
• Facilitate reference checks and pre-employment screening processes.
• Extend contingent offers of employment in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of hiring priorities and proactively follow up to keep searches moving forward.
